Volunteers have been integral to Sahir House since its former entity as Merseyside AIDS Support Group which started in 1985 and pride itself in high quality and purposeful opportunities to volunteer who make a positive difference to the HIV community in Merseyside.
Sahir House welcomes interest from all corners from our diverse communities enabling a rich wealth of experience, skills and qualities that benefit the organisation and are instrumental in many of the services offered to the HIV community and the wider general public by raising awareness of HIV and the related issues.
Sahir House endeavors to meet the needs of the community and especially welcome volunteers who:
- Have some day time availability
- Own a car/vehicle and are able to be mobile across Merseyside
- Are able to have a satisfactory Sahir House DBS check to provide support work
- Although not exclusive to, volunteers from the Black community, LGBT community and/or HIV community as they reflect a large proportion of the community we serve.

Please can all current volunteers complete the Volunteer Diary Sheet and return to Cath Turner at the end of each month. Thanks for all your support and commitment to helping those living with HIV and reducing the related stigma.
