Support Services

Sahir House support services are for people living with and affected by HIV in the Merseyside area.  You can self-refer or be referred via a health and social care service provider. All support is confidential and after an assessment with a case worker they will direct you to the areas of support to help you live well, informed and independently with HIV.

Support includes:
information, advice and guidance, community outreach, counselling, well-being activities, employability and self development courses.   Referral to welfare and benefits advice, social work, housing assistance and the HIV community nurses.

Sahir House welcome Clare Carter, Volunteer Coordinator, Terrence Higgins Trust, The Big Lottery People for People funded project and based at Sahir House.

Clare is working in partnership with Sahir House to deliver volunteering support projects to people living with HIV in Merseyside.  She supports networks and offers training and development opportunities to volunteers and service users.  The THT Hardship Fund can be accessed via this project.
