World AIDS Day 2025
#worldaidsday #standwithsahir
Every year, on the 1st of December, the world comes together to commemorate those loved and lost to HIV related illness and to celebrate the lives of those living with HIV today. It is also a time to challenge the stigma that sadly still surrounds HIV which creates barriers to people living happy, healthy, fulfilling lives.
This year, Sahir is hosting a range of events including:
- Vigils in Liverpool and Wirral to provide a safe space to remember loved ones lost.
- Outreach stalls aimed at raising awareness of HIV including educational information on testing, prevention, key messaging such as U = U and PrEP/PEP and the wonderful services Sahir has to offer.
- Outreach testing to offer people from hard to reach communities the opportunity to know their status and take control of their sexual health.
In all the work we do, we are committed to challenging myths and stigma around HIV through open conversations with the public at our events, sharing accurate information on the facts around HIV including testing, prevention options and key messaging.
