Liverpool’s Pride March 2025 – Full Registrant Guidance
🏳️⚧️️🌈 Welcome
Thank you for registering to take part in the Liverpool’s Pride March 2025. We’re excited to have you join us in this powerful act of LGBTQ+ visibility, community, and solidarity.
This guidance provides everything you need to know about the march: timings, route, accessibility, safety, and what to expect on the day.
🕘 Timings on the Day
- Muster Commences: from 9:30am at George’s Parade (Pier Head)
- Speeches and Reflections: from 10:30am
- March Sets Off: between 11:30am and 12:00pm
The muster stage will be curated by Protest Scouse Dolls, offering a space for solidarity, listening, and understanding. You’ll hear a series of short speeches and spoken word that reflect our shared struggles, joys, and commitment to one another as a community.
Please aim to arrive before 10:30am so you have time to settle in and take part in this important opening space.
🚦 Getting Ready to March
We want everyone to feel welcome, informed, and empowered to take their place in the Liverpool’s Pride March. Here’s how the lead-up to the march will be organised:
🏳️⚧️️ Trans Community Lead
- The march will be led by a representative group of trans community members, coordinated by Protest Scouse Dolls.
- If you’re a member of the trans community and would like to be part of this lead group, please reach out to Protest Scouse Dolls via their social media before the event.
- On the day, a clear announcement will be made from the muster stage asking trans community members to move to what will be the front of the march.
♿ Accessible Block
- Those who registered for an ‘accessible ticket’ will be invited to form the next section of the march, directly behind the Dolls.
- This accessible block will set the pace for the march – slow, steady, and inclusive of all mobilities and access needs.
- If you are disabled and/or neurodivergent but have a standard or group ticket, you are still welcome to join this section on the day — just make your way forward when the call is made.
🧭 Everyone Else
- After the lead groups have assembled, everyone else will be released into the march gradually.
- Stewards will support the flow, but we won’t be operating rigid groupings or hierarchies.
🔁 We’re not using formal “blocks.”
This is a non-hierarchical march, designed to reflect solidarity, not division. We encourage:
- Self-organisation
- Taking your time
- Moving with care and respect for those around you
This is a community march and we ask everyone to carry themselves in a way that makes space for others.

♿ Accessibility
We are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible experience for everyone. The march route (whilst not perfect) is highly accessible.
- The route is step-free, flat, and wheelchair-accessible throughout.
- Dedicated stewards will be on hand to assist anyone with additional needs.
- Accessible toilets are available at the Museum of Liverpool (near the start of the route) and the M&S Bank Arena (the end of the route)
- The route has several natural exit points
- First aid provision will be available
- Water points and shaded rest areas will be provided where possible.
Incline Near M&S Bank Arena
From the end of Salthouse Quay, the approach to the M&S Bank Arena involves an incline. We believe this is manageable at a slow, supported pace. However, for anyone who would prefer not to attempt this section, a flat diversion route will be available. We will pause at the decision point on the day to give people time to decide. Stewards will be present to guide and assist either way.
⚠️Safety and Support
Your safety is our priority. We’ve planned this march to be as safe, accessible, and welcoming as possible.
- Stewards will be clearly identifiable and present throughout the route
- First Aid support will be available
- If at any point you feel unsafe, unwell, overwhelmed, or need help, speak to a steward
- We encourage all attendees to look out for one another – this is community care in action
If you see someone struggling, stop and check in. Pride means no one gets left behind.
