For 42 years, Sahir has been there for Merseyside. Now we’re asking you to be there for us.

Sahir is growing, becoming more ambitious and gaining confidence — nowhere more so than in our huge plans for World AIDS Day 2026.

But we can’t do it alone.

We are building Team Sahir — our new army of volunteers who can help us raise money, raise awareness and secure Sahir’s future.

We need people to help run stalls, shake collection tins, set up events, welcome guests, distribute materials, support fundraising activities and spread the word about Sahir.

We also need volunteers to help support our Peer Support groups across all five boroughs of the Liverpool City Region, helping us create welcoming, friendly and supportive spaces for the people who use our services.

You don’t need specialist skills or lots of spare time. Whether you can give us a few hours at one event, help at a support group or want to become a regular volunteer, there is a place for you in Team Sahir.

Volunteering is a chance to meet new people, learn new skills, be part of some fantastic events and make a genuine difference to HIV and LGBTQ+ communities across the Liverpool City Region.

Martin Gaskell is leading Team Sahir and would love to hear from you.
