About Sahir

We are the Liverpool City Region’s largest and oldest LGBTQ+ charity – engaged in creating a brighter healthier future for our communities.

We’re there for people when they need us most. We provide practical and emotional support, camaraderie and connection to:

People living with and affected by HIV

We do not shy away from tackling injustice, fighting discrimination and addressing inequalities. We campaign locally, regionally and nationally with the aim of creating a fairer and more equitable society for our community.

We collaborate with others to increase our reach and impact. Our work is insight and data-driven and our programmes are co-developed with those we serve.

People living with HIV

Supported and empowered! HIV support whether you are recently diagnosed and don’t know where to turn, need help with something specific or just want to talk. For everyone at risk of or living with HIV, their friends and families.

LGBTQ+ Health & Wellbeing

Find the information and services you want and need to enhance your health and wellbeing, meet others, share experiences and campaign for better.

Refugees & People Seeking Asylum

Information, advice and signposting to empower LGBTQ+ people seeking asylum or with granted refugee status. Be empowered to be who you are, find belonging in our community and freedom to access services to help you be proud and live authentically.

Counselling

Working with LGBTQ+ people, and those living with or affected by HIV, across the Liverpool City Region. We're here to listen, and offer free, confidential, non-judgemental support and advice through tailored counselling.

Support Groups

Peer support groups for LGBTQ+ community and those living with HIV

Sexual Health for All

Normalise testing! We encourage everyone to consider regular testing for HIV (and STIs) as a vital part of routine health checks.
