The Liverpool charity is offering businesses a fabulous night of drag bingo, quizzes and corporate chaos—all while supporting vital HIV and LGBTQ+ services.
Sahir has launched The Corporate Drag Job, a new fundraising experience bringing the glamour, comedy and glorious chaos of drag directly into workplaces, conferences and corporate celebrations.
Businesses can book a professional drag queen to host either a riotous game of Drag Queen Bingo or a lively Drag Queen Quiz, complete with audience participation, prizes, banter and the possibility of colleagues learning far too much about one another.
Each event costs £1,000, with Sahir providing the drag queen host, bingo cards or quiz questions and prizes. The company simply provides the venue, the audience and a few employees brave enough to sit near the front.
The Corporate Drag Job is designed for staff parties, team celebrations, conferences, away days, Pride events, Christmas parties, fundraising evenings and client entertainment. Events can be tailored to suit the size, audience and occasion.
Money raised will help Sahir provide support to people living with HIV, LGBTQ+ people across the Liverpool City Region, and people seeking safety after experiencing persecution and discrimination.
Simon Harris, Chief Executive Officer of Sahir, said:
“There are only so many awkward networking evenings and tired team-building exercises that any workforce should be expected to endure.
“The Corporate Drag Job gives businesses a genuinely memorable experience. It brings colleagues together, creates laughter and gives companies an entertaining way to demonstrate their commitment to the communities in which they operate.
“Most importantly, every booking helps Sahir continue providing vital services. Your finance director may lose at bingo and your chief executive may get read by a drag queen—but your company will be making a real difference.”
Participating drag queen superstar Pam Sandwich said:
“I’m ready to swap the catwalk for the boardroom and find out whether Britain’s businesses have any brains, bingo skills or decent office gossip.
“Expect big laughs, friendly competition and absolutely no hiding at the back. I’ll bring the glamour, the questions and the balls. All your company has to bring is the team—and perhaps a very relaxed HR department.
“It is a brilliant night out with a serious purpose, and I cannot wait to put the ‘fun’ back into corporate functions.”\
Sahir is encouraging companies across the Liverpool City Region and beyond to book an event for their next celebration, conference or staff gathering.
Simon added:
“Businesses often tell us they want to support Sahir but are looking for something more engaging than a traditional fundraiser. This is their opportunity to entertain staff or clients, boost morale and support an important local charity at the same time.
“Forget the warm prosecco and awkward small talk. Swap the boardroom for the bawdy room.”
The Corporate Drag Job costs £1,000 per event.
